• BGN, also known as biglycan preproprotein, is a small leucine-rich repeat proteoglycan (SLRP). It plays an important role in the development and maintenance of many tissues. Core protein of this protein binds to the growth factors BMP-4 and influences its bioactivity. This protein is also involved in collagen fiber assembly. Recombinant human BGN protein, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

• Biological activity:Measured in inhibit the cell growth using 3T3‐ L1 mouse embryonic fibroblast adipose-like cells. The ED50 for this effect is less or equal to 20ug/ml.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
