Wnt inhibitory factor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the WIF1 gene. The protein encoded by this gene functions to inhibit WNT proteins, which are extracellular signaling molecules that play a role in embryonic development. Additionally, this protein contains a WNT inhibitory factor (WIF) domain and five epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like domains, and is thought to be involved in mesoderm segmentation. This gene functions as a tumor suppressor gene, and has been found to be epigenetically silenced in various cancers.
Intended Use:Sandwich High Sensitivity BioAssay™ ELISA kit for Quantitative Detection of Rat WIF1.
Sensitivity:<10pg/ml
Range:23.4pg/ml-1500pg/ml
Specificity:Recognizes natural and recombinant Rat WIF1. There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins.
Test Principle:This Rat WIF1 BioAssay™ ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A specific for WIF1 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(Expression system for standard: NSO; Immunogen sequence: G29-W379) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection specific for WIF1 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Rat WIF1 amount of sample captured in plate.
Storage and Stability:Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
