FCGR3A, also known as low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor III-A, is a multifunctional, low or intermediate affinity receptor, which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed on human NK cells as an integral membrane glycoprotein anchored through a transmembrane peptide. It mediates antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and other antibody-dependent responses, such as phagocytosis.
