IMPAD1, also known as inositol monophosphatase 3, may play a role in the formation of skeletal elements derived through endochondral ossification, possibly by clearing adenosine 3, 5-bisphosphate produced by Golgi sulfotransferases during glycosaminoglycan sulfation.
