- Description:SB 203580 is a p38 specific inhibitor that prevents the downstream activation of heat shock protein 27 and MAP kinase-activated protein kinase 2 (MAPKAPK2). It can have anti-proliferative activity on cytokine-activated lymphocytes and is reported to be used to enhance cardiomyocyte differentiation. The hydrochloride form is more soluble in organic solvents than the standard formulation.
- Solubility:Soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and DMSO. DMSO up to 70mM.
- Storage:Store at -20°C under inert atmosphere. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
