特徴

• IL17 is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by activated T cells. IL-17 regulates the activities of NF-kappaB and mitogen-activated protein kinases. Interleukin-17 can stimulate the expression of IL6 and cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX-2), as well as enhance the production of nitric oxide (NO). High levels of IL-17 are associated with several chronic inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and multiple sclerosis.  It is also suspected to play a role in Autism.
• Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to human Interleukin-17a, disulfide-linked homodimer of two 136aa polypeptide chains, expressed in E. coli.

• Applications:Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Biological Activity:Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent induction of IL-6 in primary human foreskin fibroblasts was found to be approximately 2ng/ml., corresponding to a specific activity of > 5 x 105units/mg.

• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
