• Cytokine that stimulates the proliferation of T-lymphocytes. Stimulation by IL-15 requires interaction of IL-15 with components of IL-2R, including IL-2R beta and probably IL-2R gamma but not IL-2R alpha.
• Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to human Interleukin-15, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 115aa, expressed in E. coli.

• Applications:Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Biological ActivityFully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of the proliferation of CTLL-2 was found to be <0.5ng/ml., corresponding to a specific activity of >2x10e6units/mg.

• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
