• SDHAF2 is a mitochondrial protein needed for the flavination of a succinate dehydrogenase complex subunit required for activity of the complex. Defects in SDHAF2 are the cause of hereditary paragangliomas type 2 (PGL2), also known as familial non-chromaffin paragangliomas type 2. Paragangliomas refer to rare and mostly benign tumors that arise from any component of the neuroendocrine system.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
