• Nucleolar protein 3 (apoptosis repressor with CARD domain), also known as NOL3, is predominantly expressed in muscle and is present in the nucleoplasm and concentrated in nucleoli. NOL3 mRNA and protein levels are induced by neuronal activity, which is necessary to stimulate neuroplasticity, indicating a potential role for NOL3 in activity-dependent changes in dendrite function. NOL3 has been shown to localize to the cytoskeleton of neuronal cells and appears to colocalize with F-Actin, although it may associate with an actin-associated protein rather than directly with F-Actin.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
