特徴

• Lcn2 also known as neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin, belongs to the calycin superfamily and Lipocalin family. LCN2 is an iron-trafficking protein involved in multiple processes such as apoptosis, innate immunity and renal development. The binding of LCN2 to bacterial siderophores is important in the innate immune response to bacterial infection. Also LCN2 functions as a growth factor. LCN2 is strongly upregulated during inflammation and is upregulated by interleukin 1 (but not TNF alpha) in humans.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
