• EMG1 nucleolar protein homolog, also known as EMG1, is a 244aa protein that is thought to be involved in ribosome biogenesis. Localized to the nucleolus, EMG1 participates in pre-18S rRNA processing and may play an important role in the assembly of the small ribosomal subunit, possibly controlling methylation during ribosome synthesis. A mutation in this gene has been associated with Bowen-Conradi syndrome.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C.
