• ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 5B, also known as ARL5B, belongs to a family of proteins that are structurally similar to ADP-ribosylation factors. ARLs and ARFs are part of the RAS superfamily of regulatory GTPases. ARL5B is most closely related to ARL5, with which it shares 80% sequence identity. Human ARL5B shares 100% identity with mouse ARL8 and 71% identity with the Drosophila homolog. Two isoforms of ARL8 exist as a result of alternative splicing events.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
