• ARF4 is a member of the ARF gene family whose members encode small guanine nucleotide- binding proteins that stimulate the ADP-ribosyltransferase activity of cholera toxin and play a role in vesicular trafficking and as activators of phospholipase D. The ARF proteins include 5 ARF proteins and 11 ARF-like proteins and constitute one family of the RAS superfamily. They are categorized as class I, class II and class III; this gene is a class II member.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
