• AK4(adenylate kinase 4) is a member of the adenylate kinase family of enzymes. This protein is localized to the mitochondrial matrix. Adenylate kinases regulate the adenine and guanine nucleotide compositions within a cell by catalyzing the reversible transfer of phosphate group among these nucleotides. Inherited mutations leading to AK4 deficiencies in erythrocytes have been implicated in hemolytic anemia.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C.
