特徴

• ProNGF is the pro-form of the neurotrophin nerve growth factor. Like the mature protein proNGF is characterized by the cysteine knot motif consisting of three cysteine bridges. The protein predominantly exists as a non-covalently linked homodimer.
• The proNGF is a 50kD dimer in solution, on SDS-PAGE monomer at 25-30kD is detected. To analyze this protein on an SDS-PAGE., DTT as a reduction agent is absolutely necessary.  
• Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to human ProNGF expressed in E. coli.
• Molecular Weight:~49.74kD
• Biological Activity:Measured by its stimulating effect on the proliferation of TF1 cells (Chevalier et al. 1994 Blood 83, 1479-85). EC50=130±30pM (TF1 cell assay).

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
