特徴
- BMP-7 (osteogenic protein 1) belongs to the Bone-growth regulatory factors that are members of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) superfamily of proteins. They are synthesized as large precursor molecules which are cleaved by proteolytic enzymes. The active form can consist of a dimer of two identical proteins or a heterodimer of two related bone morphogenetic proteins.
- Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to human Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7, expressed in CHO cells.
- Molecular Weight:~25-40kD (SDS-PAGE under non-reducing conditions)
- Biological Activity:Measured in alkaline phosphatase activity assay using MC3T3-E1 cells. The ED50 for this effect is <100ng/ml.
- Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
