The BMX gene encodes a non-receptor tyrosine kinase, which may play a role in the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. The BMX gene is located on chromosomal band Xp22.2 between the DXS197 and DXS207 loci. Interestingly, chromosome X also contains the closest relative of BMX, the BTK gene, implicated in X-linked agammaglobulinemia. BMX, is found to induce activation of the Stat signaling pathway.
Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-675 from full-length human cytoplasmic tyrosine-protein kinase BMX, fused to GST-tag at N-terminal, expressed in Sf9 insect cells.
Molecular Weight:~110kD
Specific Activity:~43pmol/min/ug
Applications:Suitable for use in the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Assay Conditions:Assay was done in Kinase buffer containing 0.2mM DTT using Poly-(Tyr,Glu) substrate (0.2mg/ml) and 20mM ATP. Reaction was done at 30°C for 45 min. Amount of ATP transferred was measured using Kinase- Glo reagent.
