Hoechst 33342 is a cell-permeable fluorescent DNA stain. It binds minor groove of AT-rich regions and is used to quantify DNA in viable cells.

Solubility:Soluble to 100mM in water and to 50mM in DMSO. Some solutions can be difficult to obtain and can be encouraged by rapid stirring, sonication or gentle warming (in a 45-60°C water bath).
