• Intended Use:For the qualitative determination of canine anti-toxoplasmosis antibody (IgG) concentrations in serum.
• Specificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of canine anti-toxoplasmosis antibody (IgG). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between canine anti-toxoplasmosis antibody (IgG) and analogues was observed.
• Test Principle:This BioAssay™ employs the qualitative enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with antigen. Samples are pipetted into the wells with anti-canine IgG conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP). Any antibodies specific for the antigen present will bind to the pre-coated antigen. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of canine anti-toxoplasmosis antibody (IgG) bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
