• Principle of the Assay:This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with gaot ant-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with E2 specific antibody and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated E2. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between HRP labeled E2 and unlabeled E2 with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of E2 in the standards or samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

• Precaution:The Stop Solution (227642N) included for use in this kit is an acid solution. Wear eye, hand, face, and clothing protection when using this material.
• Storage and Stability:Store all kit components at 4°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
