特徴

• This protein is an inflammatory chemokine that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. This chemokine is produced concomitantly with interleukin-8 (IL8) in response to stimulation with either interleukin-1 (IL1) or tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFA). This chemokine is a potent chemotaxin involved in neutrophil activation.

• Specificity:This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human ENA-78/CXCL5. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human ENA-78/CXCL5 and analogues was observed.
• Test Principle:This BioAssay™ employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for ENA-78/CXCL5 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ENA-78/CXCL5 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ENA-78/CXCL5 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ENA-78/CXCL5 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
