• SKA1, as known as spindle and kinetochore-associated protein 1, is a direct component of the kinetochore-microtubule interface and directly associates with microtubules as oligomeric assemblies. The complex facilitates the processive movement of microspheres along a microtubule in a depolymerization-coupled manner. In the complex, it mediates the interaction with microtubules.
• Source:Recombinant corresponding to aa1-255 from human SKA1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli.
• Molecular Weight:~31.9kD (278aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF
• Applications:Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
