• MLF1IP, also known as centromere, is a specialized chromatin domain, present throughout the cell cycle that acts as a platform on which the transient assembly of the kinetochore occurs during mitosis. It plays an important role in the correct PLK1 localization to the mitotic kinetochores. It is a scaffold protein responsible for the initial recruitment and maintenance of the kinetochore PLK1 population until its degradation. It also involved in transcriptional repression.

• Applications:Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
