• Mesoderm development candidate 1, also known as MESDC1, belongs to the MESD family. It is a 362aa protein encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 15q25.1. MESDC1 acts as a chaperone for low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) proteins in the ER, and particularly associates with Wnt signaling pathway coreceptors LRP5 and LPR6). MESDC1 is required for proper LRP5/6 folding and maturation to the cell surface, which plays a major role in Wnt signaling.

• Applications:Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested.

• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
