• Interleukin 9, also known as IL-9, is a cytokine (cell signalling molecule) belonging to the group of interleukins. This protein produced by T-cells and specifically by CD4+ helper cells that acts as a regulator of a variety of hematopoietic cells and stimulates cell proliferation and prevents apoptosis. It functions through the interleukin-9 receptor (IL9R), which activates different signal transducer and activator (STAT) proteins and thus connects this cytokine to various biological processes.
• Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-144 from human IL9, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, expressed in Sf9 Insect cells.
• Molecular Weight:~14.5kD (132aa) Multiple bands between 18-28kD, reducing conditions
• Applications:Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Endotoxin:<1.0Eu/1 microgram of protein (determined by LAL method)
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
