Major histocompatibility complex, class II, DR alpha, also known as HLA-DRA, binds peptides derived from antigens that access the endocytic route of antigen presenting cells (APC) and presents them on the cell surface for recognition by the CD4 T-cells. The peptide binding cleft accommodates peptides of 10-30 residues. The peptides presented by MHC class II molecules are generated mostly by degradation of proteins that access the endocytic route, where they are processed by lysosomal proteases and other hydrolases.
Recombinant corresponding to aa26-216 from human HLA-DRA, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E. coli.
Molecular Weight:~24.3kD (212aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF
Applications:Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
