• FST, also known as Follistatin, is a single-chain gonadal protein that specifically inhibits follicle-stimulating hormone release. The single FST gene encodes two isoforms, FST317 and FST344 containing 317aa and 344aa respectively, resulting from alternative splicing of the precursor mRNA.
• Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to aa30-317 from human FST, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, expressed in Sf9 Insect cells.
• Molecular Weight:~32.5kD (295aa) 40-57kD, reducing conditions
• Applications:Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Endotoxin:<1.0Eu/1 microgram of protein (determined by LAL method)
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
