A cell-permeable, competitive inhibitor of soluble guanylate cyclase (IC50=2uM). Lowers the production of cGMP levels in a wide range of tissues by blocking intracellular Ca2+ release, with negligible effect on cAMP levels. Inhibits nitric oxide-induced smooth muscle relaxation. Shown to inhibit interleukin-1-induced cGMP accumulation in cultured rat aortic vascular smooth muscle cells. Also inhibits neutrophil chemotaxis induced by NO donors.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
