A very potent and highly selective peripheral resctricted u-opioid receptor agonist (Ki = 2nM). Often used as an antidiarrheal, antipruritic, and antihyperalgesic agent. In addition, shown to improve defective post-receptor insulin signaling in skeletal muscle cells and enhance insulin sensitivity in rats.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
