A cell-permeable indolylacrylamido-benzamide compound that is reported to target Dnmt1 at the cofactor SAM-binding site and enhance the efficiency of iPSC production from both murine MEF (10uM starting 5 d post KSOM viral infection) and human foreskin fibroblast (10uM starting same day as or 5 d post KSOM viral infection) cultures with accompanying cellular Dnmt1 activity reduction, affecting hFF viability only at high concentrations (78% of control post 72h 100uM treatment). Also shown to help maintain H9 hESCs in undifferentiated state when cultured in unconditioned media (10uM).
