Protein G binds to the Fc portion of immunoglobulin G subclasses (IgGs) from a broad range of species including human and mouse, and does not bind IgA, IgE, IgM or serum albumin.
Source:Recombinant protein G from Streptococcus strain G148, expressed in E. coli.
Molecular Weight:~22kD (monomeric protein lacking cystine residues)
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:4000-1:8000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
