Recombinant human Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is an ~75kD glycoprotein comprised of disulfide-linked ~35kD (p35), and ~40kD (p40) subunits. IL-12 is produced by activated B lymphocytes and macrophages. The properties of IL-12 include the stimulation of growth of activated T lymphocytes, and actions in the development of Th1 CD4 +ve cells and CD8 +ve cytotoxic T cells.

Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
