特徴

• Human placenta growth factor-1 (PLGF-1; PLGF) binds to the receptor FLT1/VEGFR-1. It acts as a potent chemoattractant for monocytes and only as a very weak mitogen for some endothelial cell types. The physiological function in vivo is still controversial. In several reports it was shown not to be a potent mitogen for endothelial cells and not angiogenic in vivo by using different assays. It was shown that PLGF from cell culture supernatants was angiogenic in the CAM assay and in the rabbit cornea assay.

• Biological Activity:Measured by its ability to bind to immobilized rhsFlt-1 in a functional ELISA. Recombinant human PLGF can bind to immobilized rhsFlt-1 (100ng/well) with a linear range at 0.5-10ng/ml.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with 50mM acetic acid or PBS/H2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
