CREB-binding protein acetylates histones, giving a specific tag for transcriptional activation. It also acetylates non-histone proteins, like NCOA3 and FOXO1. It binds specifically to phosphorylated CREB and enhances its transcriptional activity toward cAMP-responsive genes. Acts as a coactivator of ALX1 in the presence of EP300.
Source:Full length, recombinant protein corresponding to mouse CREB-binding protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminal, expressed in Sf21 cells.
Biological Activity:~50-100ng are required for standard HAT assay.
Storage and Stability:Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
