• Recombinant protein corresponding to a.a.1-599 (end) human COX1 with C-terminal FLAG-His-tag, expressed in a baculovirus infected Sf9 cell expression system. GenBank Accession: NM_000962
• Applications:Suitable for use in the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Other applications not tested.
• Assay Description:Mixed various concentrations of enzyme in Assay buffer (100mM Tris-HCl pH 8,3uM EDTA) with 5uM Hematin for 10 minutes then added 100M Ampliflu Red and 200uM arachidonic acid. Fluorescence (ex. 535 em. 590) was measured after 5 minutes at RT. Reaction volume was 100ul.

• Storage and Stability:Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
