PlGF-1 is an angiogenic factor that belongs to the cysteine-knot superfamily of growth factors. PlGF-1 is expressed in placental tissues, colon and mammary carcinomas. It signals through the VEGFR-1/FLT1 receptor and stimulates endothelial cell proliferation and migration. Recombinant human PlGF-1 is a 29.7kD disulfide-linked homodimeric protein of two 131aa polypeptide chains.
Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to human PlGF-1, expressed in E.coli.
Biological Activity:Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes of using a concentration range of 1-10ng/ml.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
