GDP-fucose protein O-fucosyltransferase 1, also known as POUFUT1, is a member of the glycosyltransferase O-Fuc family. Highly expressed in pancreas, kidney, lung, heart, brain, liver, placenta and skeletal muscle, POFUT1 uses manganese to catalyze the attachment of fucose to a conserved serine or threonine residue on a protein accept. POFUT1 plays an important role in Notch signaling, as Notch ligands can serve as POFUT1 substrates.
Source:Recombinant protein corresponding to aa27-388 from human POFUT1 at N-terminal, fused to His-tag expressed in E.coli.
