PPP1CC, also known as serine/threonine-protein phosphatase PP1-gamma catalytic subunit, is essential for cell division, and participates in the regulation of glycogen metabolism, muscle contractility and protein synthesis. This protein is involved in regulation of ionic conductances and long-term synaptic plasticity and may play an important role in dephosphorylating substrates such as the postsynaptic density-associated Ca2+/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to aa1-323 from human PPP1CC, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli.
Molecular Weight:~39.1kD (343aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
