FasL is a cytokine that binds to TNFRSF6/Fas, a receptor that transduces the apoptotic signal into cells. Is involved in cytotoxic T cell mediated apoptosis and in T cell development.
Sequence:The extracellular domain of human FasL (aa103-281) is fused at the N-terminus to a FLAG®-tag.
Molecular Weight:~33kD (SDS-PAGE)
Endotoxin:<0.05EU/ug (LAL)
Biological Activity:Induces apoptosis of human Jurkat T cells at a concentration of <1ng/ml in the presence of 0.1-1ug/ml TNF Ligands Enhancer. In the absence of TNF Ligands Enhancer, FasL is working at 50-100 fold higher concentrations.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
