CX3CL1 (fractalkine) is expressed on TNF-alpha and IL-1 activated endothelial cells (ECs). CX3CL1 can exist in 2 forms: as membrane- anchored or as a shed 95kD glycoprotein. The soluble CX3CL1 has potent chemoattractant activity for T cells and monocytes, and the cell surfacebound protein, which is induced on activated primary endothelial cells, promotes strong adhesion of those leukocytes. May play a role in regulating leukocyte adhesion and migration processes at the endothelium. Binds to CX3CR1.
Recombinant protein corresponding to the extracellular domain of human CX3CL1 (aa25-339), fused at the C-terminus to a FLAG-tag, expressed in HEK293 cells.
Molecular Weight:~50kD (SDS-PAGE)
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Form:Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 0.2um-filtered solution in PBS. Reconstitute with 100ul sterile ddH2O. Add 1X PBS to the desired protein concentration.
