• Clusterin is a secretory heterodimeric disulfide-linked glycoprotein that is expressed in virtually all tissues and found in all human fluids. It is involved in numerous physiological processes important for carcinogenesis and tumor growth, including apoptotic cell death, cell cycle regulation, DNA repair, cell adhesion, tissue remodeling, lipid transportation, membrane recycling, and immune system regulation.
• Description:Signal peptide sequence and the human secretory clusterin (aa1-449) are fused at the C-terminus to a FLAG®-tag, expressed in HEK293 cells.
• Molecular Weight:~80kD (under non-reducing conditions); 39kD and 40kD (under reducing conditions) (SDS-PAGE).
• Endotoxin:<0.01EU/ug (LAL test; Lonza).
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
