Avidin D is isolated from egg white by a specific affinity system which results in a homogeneous, ultrapure avidin with very low nonspecific binding characteristics. Avidin D is recommended for use in solid-phase assays and many histochemical applications when the technique of sequential addition of reagents (“sandwich” technique) is employed.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry: 5-50ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sodium bicarbonate. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
