The estimated concentration of an individual Myeloma protein may vary considerably depending on the assay method used. Myeloma protein concentration is therefore measured by radial immunodiffusion and optical density (A280nm). Purified human immunoglobulin may be used as a reference antigen, calibrator, coating protein and blocking agent in a variety of immunoassays including immunodiffusion, immuno- electrophoresis, ELISA, Western blotting, dot-immunobinding assays (DIBA), hemagglutination, and cell-binding assays.
Applications:Suitable for use as a reference antigen, calibrator, coating protein and blocking agent in Immunoelectrophoresis, Double RID, ELISA, Western Blot, Haemagglutination and cell-binding assays. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
