Rab3A belongs to the small GTPase superfamily, Rab family. It is a small, Ras-like GTPase expressed in neuroendocrine cells, in which it is associated with secretory vesicle membranes and regulates exocytosis. This protein could play a role in neurotransmitter release by regulating membrane flow in the nerve terminal. Purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to aa1-220 of human RAB3A, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E.coli.
Molecular Weight:~27.1kD (240aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
