NDUFAF2, also known as Mimitin, belongs to the complex I NDUFA12 subunit family. NADH dehydrogenase is an enzyme located in the inner mitochondrial membrane that catalyzes the transfer of electrons from NADH to coenzyme Q (CoQ). It is the "entry enzyme" of oxidative phosphorylation in the mitochondria. Mimitin protein acts as a molecular chaperone for mitochondrial complex I assembly. Purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to aa1-169 of human NDUFAF2, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E.coli.
Molecular Weight:~22kD (189aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF
Enzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
