GLOD4, also known glyoxalase domain-containing protein 4, is an enzyme that belongs to the glyoxalase system. This system is a set of enzymes that carry out the detoxification of methylglyoxal and the other reactive aldehydes that are produced as a normal part of metabolism. It is a mitochondrial protein that interacts with NUDT9. Purified by using conventional chromatography.
