Nth, also known as Endonuclease III, has an apurinic and/or apyrimidinic endonuclease activity and a DNA N-glycosylase activity. This enzyme incises damaged DNA at cytosines, thymines and guanines. Nth acts on a damaged strand, 5' from the damaged site. This enzyme is required for the repair of both oxidative DNA damage and spontaneous mutagenic lesions.
Description:Recombinant E. coli NTH (Endonuclease III) protein fused to His-tag at the N-terminus; expressed in E. coli
Molecular Weight:25.7kD (231aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOFEnzyme Activity:Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein.
