Activating transcription factor 4, also known as ATF4, belongs to a family of DNA-binding proteins that includes the AP-1 family of transcription factors, cAMP-response element binding proteins and CREB-like proteins. ATF4 encodes a transcription factor that was originally identified as a widely expressed mammalian DNA binding protein that could bind a tax-responsive enhancer element in the LTR of HTLV-1. Purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Source:Recombinant corresponding to aa1-351 of human ATF4, fused to His-Calmodulin tag at N-terminal, expressed in E.coli.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
