CD133+ EPC growth medium was designed and tested for human endothelium progenitor cells (EPC). This medium includes two components: EPC basal medium (E3010-60G1) and EPC growth medium supplement (E3010-60G2). The EPC growth medium supplement includes fetal bovine serum and human recombinant growth factors, and some lot-to-lot variability is unavoidable.
Each lot of this product is tested in cell culture to ensure its sterility. This product does not contain antibiotics.
Storage and Stability:Store *E3010-60G2 at -20°C. Store E3010-60G1 at 4°C. Note: A change in color or appearance of precipitate of E3010-G1 may indicate deterioration. Stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Use of EPC Growth Medium for Culturing EPC:1. Thaw supplement and add the entire volume (50ml) to the basal medium (500ml). Antibiotics may also be added if contamination is a concern
2. Take the amount of EPC growth medium needed and warm to 37°C in a water bath or incubator. Avoid frequent temperature change to the entire bottle of medium. The EPC growth medium is stable for at least 1 month stored at 4°C
3. Refer to manual for EPC culture procedures using the EPC growth medium. We recommend changing medium every 3 days for regular cell culture.
