CD133+ human EPC freezing medium was optimized for cryopreservation of our human endothelium progenitor cells (hEPC).
This product contains fetal bovine serum (FBS). Each lot is tested for sterility.
Procedure for Freezing EPC:1. Warm Dulbecco’s PBS (without Ca2+ and Mg2+) in a 37°C water bath. Thaw EPOC freezing medium at RT.
2. Gently shake the culture vessel to mix. Take a small aliquot of the supension to count cells.
3. Transfer the cell suspension into a conical tube.
4. Rinse EPC culture vessel with Dulbecco’s PBS and transfer to the conical tube with previous cell suspension.
5. Centrifuge the tube at 150xg for 5 minutes at RT.
6. Carefully remove the supernatant without disturbing the pellet.
7. Add the appropriate volume of E3010-60F and resuspend cells to 0.5 to 1x10e6/ml. Dispense 1ml into each cryovial.
8. Place cryovials in a freezing container to slowly lower the temperature in a -80ºC freezer.
9. Transfer the vials to liquid nitrogen the next day for long term storage.
Storage and Stability:Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
